About Us

Allah in his wisdom has decorated his earth with flora, and scattered within it fauna, each of which has a duty to perform. There are more than 8 million known species of flora (plant life) and fauna (animal life). Just to put things into perspective to comprehend the vastness of the knowledge and creation, there are 45,000 known species of spiders alone on this Earth. And as we know, Earth is just one planet, in the solar system, and the solar system is just one star / planetary system amongst the billions in the milky way and the milky way is just one galaxy amongst the billions of galaxies in our super cluster and so on so forth, and who knows, in one of many multiverses.

But in the vastness of the universe(s), the smallest of insects has a part to play in the balance of nature and its scheme.

Allah has sent his revelations to his prophets and messengers. But Allah also revealed to an insect.

“And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in the mountains and in the trees and in what they build: Then eat of all the fruits and walk in the ways of your Lord submissively. There comes forth from within it a beverage of many colours, in which there is healing for men; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect”
[Quran 16:68 – 69]

Not only is the bee inspired by the creator himself, Allah also kept healing in what comes forth from them.

This book, The HoneyBee therefore tries to capture in short chapters a different perspective of life to motivate and inspire people of all ages, social fabric, nationalities and religion, during their day to day struggles to never give up and to help them grow as human beings.

While writing this book, I took inspiration from the Quran, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and his Family or the People of the House (Ahlulbayt) as they were the only ones purified from all rijs (or uncleanliness).

…. Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying
[Quran 33:33]

The HoneyBee therefore is a symbol of inspiration (to do what we are created for and fulfill our purpose in this life after finding it).

The HoneyBee therefore is an attempt to heal us (from our intentions, biases, distractions, ego and arrogance, unintended shirk, disease and dirt in the heart (of hypocrisy)).

The HoneyBee encourages the cleanliness which the Prophet (SAW) has said to be one half of faith. I would like to think that if one half of faith is physical cleanliness, then the second half must be spiritual cleanliness.

As you are aware, the honeybee mentality differs from the housefly mentality. The housefly will ignore the white wall and will usually sit on the only dirty spot that it could find. The honeybee on the other hand will scout a field full of manure but will only land on a flower to seek its nectar and fragrance. The HoneyBee therefore in essence is also a sign of hope and positivity.

Through The HoneyBee, it is my endeavor to be able to inspire one person and one person alone, as that small change in that person (to be a better human being) will have a generational impact over the next 10,000 years of our evolution and the butterfly effect will magnify its impacts to universal levels.
